            An interesting coda to my series on alternative fee arrangements appeared in the September 1, 2010 addition of the Financial Post.  The essence of the piece is summed up in the article’s first sentence:

There’s a growing backlash in corporate circles against the traditional way lawyers make money — billing by the hour.

             The article is instructive as to how corporate clients feel about hourly billing, alternative fee arrangements, fixed fee billing and project management and how some law firms  are reacting to current market demands.
